Reductio ad absurdum

 Person A lies.<> Person B responds with an obviously impossible lie, yet does not present the lie as fact the way Person A did. <> The absurdity exposes the dishonesty of Person A. It’s known as “reductio ad absurdum.”  I use it frequently.
