Israel’s Likud party, which is led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, embraced a river to the sea slogan in its original 1977 platform. They used the expression “between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.” That certainly can been seen as having malign intent.
