Are you purposely acting stupid, aka Natchez. I said nothing about ''most.'' But as a history refresher World War Two began the process and the various welfare, housing and related programs of the 1960s lured much of the poor agrarian black population from rural areas in the South to the urban areas of the North, where there was little or no work for them but did help to destroy the black family structure. These mass of people became dependent on government programs to exist. And as the family disintegrated and young people found no work they began using drugs as a form of escape. LBJ in one fell swoop created a dependable group of Democratic voters who had no choice but to vote Democratic to keep the money coming. Returning to the solid if poor agrarian life in the South was not in the cards.
