"Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, disputed Mike Waltz's claim that they had never met. Goldberg stated that Waltz's assertion was "simply not true" and mentioned that they had met on at least two occasions. Photographic evidence from a 2021 event also supports Goldberg's statement. Waltz's denial came after Goldberg was inadvertently added to a Signal group chat discussing sensitive national security matters."
