Remember Jack Palance in the movie "The Silver Chalice"? He played the magician, Simon Mangus. Mangus built an elaborate illusion to convince the people he could fly. In reality, he was tethered to a slender rod (invisible to the people on the ground), which was then operated by assistants to make it appear he was flying in circles around a very tall tower.
Then, he convinced himself he really |COULD| fly; and winged his way from the top of the tower towards the heavens WITHOUT his tether.
Of course, he dropped like a stone and splattered on the streets like a bag of cantaloupes dropped from the Sears Tower.
He reminds me of Trump.
