First of all, Stone didn't make bail until AFTER he was arrested.
Secondly, Wray DOES deserve credit for bringing in Stone without a shot fired or a single casualty. Good job!
Yes, it made for good optics for the FBI --- a good show of force in bringing in a dangerous criminal -- is good for the FBI's image. Why was it caught on tape?
Simple, CNN had the place staked out for WEEKS. Everyone knew Stone was going to be arrested; it was just a question of when. CNN put up the money it took to have a team in place when it happened. Kudos to CNN.
Why was Stone considered a threat? For several reasons, one of which he was KNOWN to favor the assault rifle.
Was the arrest too tough on the guy suspected of working with a
foreign hostile intelligence agency to subvert our democracy? Did the
FBI resort to an inappropriate show of force?

force has been described by former FBI special agents and by lawyers
familiar with FBI operating procedures described it as ''routine'' or
''textbook.''
