Divisiveness in itself is neither good nor bad. For instance, it's a GOOD thing for us to divide ourselves from racism, bigotry, etc.; while by the same token it's a BAD THING to divide ourselves from decency, integrity, honesty, etc.
Trump supporters have chosen to align themselves with stupidity, ignorance, hatefulness, bigotry, xenophobia, stinginess, and dishonesty. They resent those of us who align OURSELVES with civility, honesty, goodness, charity, mercy, and integrity.
