Beware of the right wingers MISQUOTING George Washington (and others) in their attempt to justify their adoration of guns. One favorite is from Washington's first annual message to congress in 1790. They change it to make it appear he's calling for all to own guns to protect them against their "own government." He said no such thing. They lie.
