doss Richweb: Here is another example of how the Bush's do ''business.'' A friend of Jeb's borrowed $4.5 MILLION from the bank; putting up only his good word as collateral. On that SAME DAY, that friend then loaned $4.5 MILLION to Jeb for him to purchase a building --- that building being the collateral. Then, they ALL defaulted on their loans and only had to pay back $500k of the $4.5 MILLIONS they had borrowed; AND (and this is a real kicker.) They got to KEEP their collateral. Sweet, eh? __________________________________ Now watch the way Weedhopper gets it all mixed up. ___________________________________ 4847 PM: Weedhopper [Quote] -- 7:42am -- Tue, Feb 24, 15 pst |

Problem -- Pelosi served in the House; not in the executive branch. Congress MAKES laws; it doesn't enforce them; that's up the executive branch.
Problem --- Pelosi did not become Speaker until 2007. The Silverado scandal didn't really hit the news until 1990.
Later, Weed claims that Pelosi could have IMPEACHED the president.
Problem: She'd never be able to convince the House to impeach Dubya for what Neil did back in 1990. It just wouldn't fly.

about impeachment, obviously...they must be really old and stupid

Poor Doss forgets that the S&L's didn't collapse until 17 years
later...right after Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the house
It's nice that Doss proves he LIED aboiut my post

The "S&L's didn't collapse until 17 years later"? You mean in 2007? Weed, get a grip, son.
Stick with facts; not with your revised history.
From Daily Finance: "While most of us were alive 20 years ago, peoples' memories of the savings and loan crisis of the early 1990s have faded. But more than
1,000 so-called savings & loans -- banks specifically set up to lend
out their deposits to people buying houses -- failed in the late 1980s
and early 1990s due to a change in regulation that permitted S&Ls to
take big risks. Bailing them out ultimately cost the federal government
$220 billion."

Problem: After Weed claimed Pelosi was Speaker of the House in 1990, I corrected him. Then, he argued that he never claimed Pelosi was Speaker at that time.

I didn't...but it's OK that you lie
Oh, yes, you did. *S* And I don't lie. You said she was Speaker ''at the time.''

From the original post, here's the part Weed partially quoted.Notice, there is NO mention. ZERO mention of Dubya.
Richweb: Here is an example of how the Bushs do business.Neil arranged to loan some friends $132 million dollars. Then in turn loaned Neil $100,000; then turned around and ``forgave`` the loan. But it gets better; they also set up Neil in a deal for him to receive $550,000 in "salary" in addition to the $100,000 they "loaned" him; then told him he didn't have to pay back.
When the shit finally DID hit the fan, Neil had to pay back on $50,000. Sweet deal, eh?
