Have you wondered like I have? What's the deal with the news media. Bush has put a moratorium on questions about his early days - like where was he when he was supposed to be serving in the guard; did he ever use cocaine; did he have a drinking problem, etc.
Yes the media goes along with Bush on this moratorium and honors his request that they not inquire about these things. The media and Bush's supporters hold Kerry to a different standard, though. I've heard people demand that Kerry release his medical records from his days in Nam; that he show his xrays to prove he carries shrapnel in his thigh; and that he explain his whereabouts and conduct going back to when he was in his mid-twenties.
Why won't our media hold Bush to the same standard? Any guesses?
