In Denver, test subjects were shown flash images of a person holding
an object; and were given a fraction of a second to decide whether to
''shoot'' or ''don't shoot.''
Some of the people depicted
were white; some were black. Sometimes the person held a gun; sometimes
the person held a harmless object like a wallet or cell phone.
Guess which group was more likely to be ''shot.''
