Maggie

how much time elapsed between cheney's initial statement about reconstituted nuclear weapons and russert's question about them?

[Planoman answers her. That's commendable. But ONLY if he's telling the truth.]

About "three seconds," says Planoman. Well let's test his theory. Because THIS is what Cheney said following his claim that Saddam had nuclear weapons:

" I think Mr. ElBaradei, frankly, is wrong. And I think if you look at the track record of the International Atomic Energy Agency and this kind of issue, especially where Iraq is concerned, they have consistently underestimated or missed what it was Saddam Hussein was doing. I don’t have any reason to believe they’re any more valid this time than they’ve been in the past."

Now YOU try to speak that out loud in three seconds.

You know how much time REALLY elapsed between Cheney claiming Saddam
had nuclear weapons and the time he cleared it up with Russert?

Not 3 seconds, as the lying Planoman claimed.

Cheney made the claim on March 16, 2003. He didn't clear it up with Russert until September 14, 2003.

That's not 3 seconds.

That's SIX MONTHS!

Planoman: How could have missed THIS part of the transcript?

''Transcript for Sept. 14''

Then THIS part:

''(Videotape, March 16)''

[THen they played Cheney telling the lie...]

Then this part: ''(End videotape)''

That means the Russert TV show was on Sept. 14, 2003. Cheney made his remarks in MARCH,
which is 6 months earlier.

You claimed it was only 3 seconds earlier.
