Elliott Flip-Flops

Just as some predicted, the smear boat campaign has blown up in the faces of those who hoped to derail the Kerry campaign. One of the prime suspects in the campaign has retracted a statement he signed accusing Kerry, saying that that it was a "terrible mistake" for him to have signed it. George Elliott, who has been one of Kerry's most vocal critics retracted his criticism of Kerry and says now that Kerry indeed did deserve the Silver Star.

Some expect others in the group to join Elliott in renouncing the lies they told. Elliott has admitted that he was pressured in to signing the false affidavit. Some may recall that the group has ties to Richard Nixon and Kenneth Starr.
