Veritas: My guess is that Pale fears I'm setting him up for some sort of trap. He's afraid to agree; and he's afraid NOT to agree.
He knows from experience that I often trap him this way --- set up questions for him so that no matter how he answers, he's fucked.
So he's a bit gun shy. *S*
